Whelk Works is a Sarasota web and social media studio for restaurants and shops on Florida’s Suncoast. For one flat monthly price we host and manage your website, keep your hours and details right on Google, Facebook, Instagram, Yelp and TripAdvisor, wire up your online ordering, and post to your social accounts.
Whorl I (we maintain) is $199 a month. Whorl II (we create) is $399 a month for restaurants or $449 for shops. Whorl III (we build) is $899 a quarter or $2,000 a month.
Setup is $250 if you already have a web presence for us to fix and migrate, or $500 if we are building from zero.
A four-page website, hosted and managed. Your five profiles — Google, Facebook, Instagram, Yelp and TripAdvisor — kept in step. An email address on your own name instead of a Gmail. Your online ordering linked from your site, your Google listing and your Facebook and Instagram buttons. Four posts a month from your photos, two site updates a month, and Google Analytics with a quarterly snapshot.
Month to month after a three-month start, or a year paid up front with setup included. Billing is automatic by bank draft or card, and every invoice is itemised.
Whorl I: Wrong information online, a site nobody has touched in two years, or a business run from a Gmail address. Most places start here.
Whorl II: You know the posting matters and nobody has time. We become your content team; you approve from your phone.
Whorl III: Your place deserves real photography, and reviews answered the same day. We are your media department.
We are based in Sarasota and serve restaurants and shops in Sarasota, Venice, Bradenton and Englewood, including the towns in between such as Lakewood Ranch, Siesta Key, Osprey and Nokomis.
We make sure nothing is stopping you. Many small business sites are quietly hidden from search engines and AI tools — a setting left switched on, no sitemap, a menu that loads too late to be read. We fix those, and publish your hours, address and prices in the structured format search engines and AI assistants read.
No one can promise that ChatGPT or Google will recommend a particular business. What we can promise is that you are in the pool they answer from.
Yes. Your domain is registered in your name from day one, at our wholesale rate with the saving shown on your invoice. Nothing is held hostage: if you ever leave, you take the lot.
Yes — whatever ordering or shop system you already use stays yours. We link to it from your website, your Google listing and your Facebook and Instagram buttons so customers can always find it. If you sell on Shopify, your catalogue stays on Shopify; we never touch it.
On Whorl I, you send up to four photos a month and we post them. We never chase you for content — no photos just means no post. On Whorl II we create the posts, captions and graphics and you approve them from your phone. On Whorl III we come to you with a camera for on-site photo and video days.
No. Everything we post for you is real — your photos, your place, your people. We never post AI-generated photos or copy.
Yes. Whorl III includes a custom site built off-platform, for a one-time project fee quoted to the job, on top of the $899 a quarter or $2,000 a month plan.
